Andrew joined Crosse + Crosse in July 2011.  He is a Partner and the Head of the Family Department.

Andrew has a high level of experience in the following fields:

  • Acting for children (either on their direct instructions, where competent, or through professional Children's Guardians appointed by the Court)
  • Care Proceedings
  • Adoption
  • Placement Orders
  • Special Guardianship Orders
  • Child Arrangement Orders (previously known as residence and contact orders)
  • Parental Responsibility Orders and Agreements
  • Specific Issue and Prohibited Steps Orders

Andrew has also conducted cases in the following areas:

  • Forced Marriage Protection Orders and International
  • Child Abduction.

Andrew acted for the children in the reported case of Re: M [2012] EWHC 1948 (Fam), an intractable contact dispute in which Mr Justice Peter Jackson, sitting in the Family Division of the High Court of Justice, imposed a conditional residence order providing that, if the mother did not facilitate her children staying with their father on stipulated occasions, they would move to live with their father automatically.   

Andrew has been accredited by the Law Society as a Children's Representative since 1999.

Andrew has featured in the Chambers Legal Directory as a Leading Practitioner in the Field of Family Law every year since 1999 for his skill in handling children matters and is praised by sources as "meticulous, detailed and knowledgeable, with a very calm approach".
