International Child Abduction

We are pleased to announce that Crosse + Crosse have been added to the International Child Abduction and Contact Unit's referral list of specialist solicitors.

We are the only solicitors in the South West Peninsular who are on the list. The Unit comes under the Official Solicitors Office and will refer work on to Wendy Kemp a partner in our Family Team when children have been abducted or removed from their country of habitual residence.

This is an accolade for the Family department which is fast becoming known for any International Family work, which includes divorces with a foreign element, such as property or company assets overseas and the international movement of children, whether by abduction or asking the Court for permission to take children overseas. Again Crosse + Crosse are the only solicitors in the South West who specialise in this work.

Wendy is an accredited specialist with the Law Society Advanced Panel for complex financial matters ancillary to divorce and Hague Convention Abduction and Wardship of children. She is also on the Law Society Children Panel and an accredited specialist for Resolution on Cohabitation and Advanced financial matters. She often works as solicitor for children and much of her work is in the High Court.

The department aims to expand this type of work to continue to attract more international clients in this growing and complex area of law
