Funding Sought to Launch New Website

Children in separating families seek funding to launch new website

One quarter of children 16 and under experience the separation of their parents.  Three groups of teenagers in Hereford, Milton Keynes and Crickhowell are calling on every person who knows or has been a child of separating parents to make a donation to build a new website for children whose parents are separating in light of the recent closure of two on-line support services for children in separating families. The campaign takes place during June and July and aims to raise the first £50,000, enough to launch the new website, KidsintheMiddle.org.uk, by 2014.  KidsintheMiddle.org.uk will be a peer mentoring service provided by trained young people who have experienced family separation and will be the first service for children entirely funded by teenagers.
