Exeter Solicitor gains Resolution accreditation

The skills of an Exeter solicitor have been recognised by the UK’s leading Family Law Group, Resolution.

Sabina Smith, a member of Crosse + Crosse’s family law team, has successfully completed her Resolution accreditation in Domestic Violence and Child Abduction.

The Resolution scheme was originally set up in 1999 with the aim to help people who are facing a family breakdown to find the right type of legal help. In order to become a Resolution accredited specialist, solicitors and lawyers have to agree to uphold the Resolution Code of Practice and pass a written exam which demonstrates their breadth of knowledge of family law issues and their particular specialist fields.

Sabina Smith studied law at Manchester University before training to be a solicitor in London. She has been practicing family law since moving to Devon in 1998 and in 2003 she trained as a family mediator, joining Crosse + Crosse in 2005.

Wendy Kemp, Head of the Family Department at Crosse + Crosse said: “As one of the leading family law firms in Devon we are committed to encouraging a non-confrontational approach to resolving family disputes. By choosing a Resolution specialist our clients have peace of mind knowing that they are being advised by someone who has a wide knowledge and experience of family law.”
