In April 1915 Ernest Crosse started the firm of Crosse + Crosse, Solicitors in the city of Exeter; he was joined shortly afterwards by his sister who was the first female solicitor to practice as a partner in the South West.
Since then the firm has grown with the times to become a well-known and important part of the modern commercial and family life of Exeter and its surrounding towns and villages.
During this century the firm aims to continue its policy of growth and change, responding to the demands of our clients. Our expertise is already being used by clients outside the West of England.
The firm is regulated by the Law Society in the conduct of non-discrete investment business. Over the years valuable contacts have been established with Banks and Building Societies, Insurance Companies, Stockbrokers and independent Financial Advisers.
This firm has two main offices in the centre of Exeter, one in Castle Street where both our personal injury department and conveyancing departments are located and the other in Southernhay West in an elegant Georgian terrace. The classical exteriors of both offices are a traditional façade for what is a thriving modern practice employing the latest technology whilst priding itself on providing a caring service for its clients.
